"Isn't it another kind of co-existing relationship, between art and business, between artist and audience, between concept and skill?"

The A·lift Gallery 'CHECKPOINT' is going to showcase new works by local artist Alex HEUNG Kin-fung. Alex Heung has been engaged in painting for many years, where his works explore the relationship between nature and human beings. He uses plants and animals that represent natural world with artificial elements to construct an interesting and surreal composition. The show titled "Co-existence" imagines how animals understand and experience this alienated world.

"No such a creature can survive alone. There are symbiotic relationships between species and species, they are mutually dependent, they complement each other. However, the human civilization affects the relationship between human beings and other creatures, from harmonious to dominating, the nature becomes imbalance… perhaps we are at the same time dragged into the same situation.
